Travel

The arrival day is August 23. The registration desk at the accommodation place is open since 12:00.

Nordic participants are expected to come to Riga by planes or by ferry and then to take a bus to Ventspils. The buses to Ventspils departure every hour from the Riga Bus Station. The travel takes aprox. 3:00 hours and the single one-way ticket costs Ls 3.50 - Ls 4.50. It would be advisable to make reservation of bus tickets. Please let us know if you would like to have our assistance in buying the bus tickets Riga – Ventspils (or Riga – Ventspils – Riga).

The simplest way to reach the Riga Bus Station from The Riga Harbor is by taxi and from the Riga Airport by bus #22 or taxi. If you are going by bus #22 the bus stop at the Riga Airport is named "Lidosta Riga" (station of destination) and the closest bus stop to the Riga Bus Station is named "Stockmann centrs". Please notice that there is also another bus #22A going from the Riga Airport to the Riga center, but it takes another route.

It is also possible to come from Sweden and Estonia by ferry directly to Ventspils.

The departure day is August 29.

Dinner is involved in the social events for evenings. Eating in a restaurant may cost Ls 5 - Ls 20.

The registration fee together with additional sources will cover the workshop materials, breakfast, coffee breaks, the welcome and farewell parties, the excursion and the city sightseeing.
